We were using clear mask but had problems with the vinyl releasing in the cold weather, we decided to try the Oratape and love, love, love it! I can install vinyl in 20 degree weather with this tape and highly recommend it.

I've been using this application tape for several years. It has worked great with both Oracal 631 and 651 vinyl.

I have a s very busy vinyl decor company and have been using this tape for my Oracal 631 vinyl. We never have any problems or returns due to application tape issues.

I bought this tape because it is the Oracal Matte 631 recommended application tape. It was pricier than the original tape I was using, which worked fine, but being that it was the recommended tape, I thought I would use it.
It is awful. It's high tack, but the only thing that sticks to it is the backing paper. Matte cut vinyl, when working with 1" letters, does not. I don't typically remove the backing from pieces before I send them out, but certainly wish it was my practice before trying this tape. I had to re-cut two huge orders, which were very tedious and time consuming to weed, because the customer could not get the vinyl to stick to the app tape. I'll stick with the MainTape Perfect Tear Plus GXP775 series.
Think twice before you buy this, or at least buy a very small amount and test it on your fine detail lettering before sending out to customers. Learn from my very costly mistake!
