What is the difference between an ACI Painted Graphic and the airbrush graphics that have been out for years? We totally and completely coat a white or clear super smooth base film with multiple colors of automotive paint and then apply a 2 mil paint clear coat. Our base film is just a carrier for our paint. Airbrush graphics typically start with a colored base film and add accent colors with an airbrush. The airbrush paint is typically single stage "sign painters" paint ... usually applied with no clear coat. Airbrush, inkjet or screen printed graphics simply cannot match the color intensity, gloss level and durability of ACI Painted Graphics, period.

How do I apply an ACI Painted Graphic?
Just like you apply a traditional vinyl graphic. Just peel back the liner to expose the adhesive on the back, apply to the vehicle and remove the masking ... no different than a vinyl graphic. Our product is a about 6.5 mils total thickness due to 1 mil of paint and 2 mils of clear coat so it applies more like paint protection film.

How are ACI Painted Graphics shipped and stored?
Just like vinyl graphics. All our finished graphics are rolled, put into a poly bag and put into a protective cardboard box or tube. Our clear coat has a flex agent that allows the product to be rolled and stored for years, although we don't recommend storing the product for over two years.

Can I buff and polish my ACI Painted Graphic?
Yes! it’s paint … polish all you want. Hand polish only as a machine buffer may catch on the edges of the graphic. ACI recommends Meguiar’s® products to care for your ACI Painted Graphics.

Can I apply my ACI Painted Graphic on the hood/roof of my car?
Yes! it’s paint … just like the paint on your car … so no worries mate, our ACI Painted Graphics can be applied to the hood were the paint really shines!

What happens if my customer wrecks their vehicle?
Simply replace both sides. This is the best of both worlds ... custom paint that is affordable and also quickly and easily replaced if damaged. Custom paint jobs cannot be easily re-created and are an insurance nightmare ... now you can surprise and delight your customers with a true custom painted graphic that applies like a vinyl graphic.

I just applied a graphic and the clear coat looks "textured" ... what's up? The adhesive on the back of the premask leaves a temporary impression on the clear coat ... allow the vehicle to sit in the sun for a few hours and the clear coat will look fine.
