Sherman, Texas, June 16, 2003 -- In a joint executive session, the Denison City Council and the Denison Development Alliance (DDA) approved the expenditure of $2,645,000 million that will allow DDA to purchase and renovate the former Nabisco Building located on Highway 84. Both entities also approved a ten-year lease with SignWarehouse who will expand their operations by relocating to the building. Renovation and construction could begin in less than two weeks unless there are delays encountered with the purchase of the facility. Negotiations with ConAgra have been underway for several months and no problems are expected.

"Every business has options and we knew SignWarehouse was looking for a larger facility. Our mission was to work closely with them, the City of Sherman and the SEDCO Board to find the most cost effective solution to their expansion needs, " said Wayne Cabaniss, Chairman of DDA. "In this case, Denison had a vacant, available building that met their criteria so we were able to partner with Sherman and SignWarehouse and keep current and future jobs in Grayson County," he added.

"We are extremely excited that our company's growth has made this expanded facility a requirement," said Chris Gripp, SignWarehouse President. "Our site location specialist spent 12 months analyzing all options in the Texoma region, including Oklahoma. In the end, the former Nabisco Building emerged as the best location for us. We are extremely appreciative of all the support we received from the leadership in both Sherman and Denison. These two communities worked together to find the best location for our company and our empolyees." "The need for expansion is to increase warehouse and shipping space to accommodate increasing sales and store the large inventory of cutters/plotters, printers, and computer systems. Our sales and technical support staff has grown consistently over the last decade, as well," Gripp added.
