Vinyl Express Q Series Vinyl Cutter Introduction
Sherman, TX March 2006
SIGNWarehouse, the leading distributor of wholesale supplies and equipment to the sign industry, is pleased to announce the introduction of their new Vinyl Express Q Series vinyl cutters. Since 1987, Vinyl Express has become an established brand representing outstanding value in sign equipment and software. The VE Lynx has become the world’s best-selling plotter and an affordable tool for start-up sign businesses.
The new Q Series is a major step forward, presenting unprecedented levels of quality, precision, and value in a vinyl cutter. The series is engineered to offer not only the industry-leading value for which Vinyl Express is famous but to satisfy the needs of established signmaking professionals.
The Q Series combines the buying power and marketing expertise of SIGNWarehouse with the engineering prowess of one of the sign industry’s most respected manufacturers of vinyl cutters and plotters. This cooperative effort brings to the sign industry the joint resources of two companies whose roots date back to the 1960’s. Both SIGNWarehouse and the new Vinyl Express manufacturing partner have been at the forefront introducing new technologies and products throughout the exciting era of computer aided sign making.
Outstanding features of the Q Series include tangential emulation for more accurate cutting - even in very thick media, the new SBL Smart Blade Landing system that enhances cutting precision and prolongs the life of the cutting head, and the exclusive Vinyl Express 50 foot tracking guarantee. Like all state-of-the-art vinyl cutters, the Q Series is available with an optional ARMS automatic registration mark sensor that enables users to easily and precisely contour cut pre-printed graphics.
Because of its precise and thorough engineering, the Q Series plotters are suitable for just about any sign making or vinyl graphic application. And because of the extraordinary media handling properties of the SBL system, which measures the thickness of the media, the Q Series is an excellent choice for cutting very thin media such as automotive window tint film, and very thick media including sandblast stencil and automotive paint protection film.
The Vinyl Express Q Series plotters are absolutly the best value on the market today,” says Sign Warehouse's Vice-President, Erik A. Gripp. “They offer sign makers the ability to cut any kind of vinyl graphic, and to tap into new revenue streams including sales and installation of automotive window tint and paint protection. Lots of sign businesses are doing great things with vehicle graphics. The Q Series’ ability to handle both window tint and paint protection film, in addition to traditional adhesive backed vinyls, gives sign shops even more opportunities to compete in the dynamic field of custom automotive graphics. And with the ARMS option, the Q can be bundled with a large format printer like our PrismJET EXTRA to print and cut vehicle wraps, custom marine graphics and more. It really is an outstanding value. The Q does it all and does it well.”
The Q Series is being introduced in two levels. For the professional sign maker needing a top of the line plotter, SIGNWarehouse offers the 30” Q-75, the 42” Q-100, the 54” Q-130, and the 64” Q-160. These all offer cutting speeds up to 50 inches per second and force of up to 400 grams. And they all come with advanced adjustable media rollers integrated into the floor stand, and an easily navigated LCD control panel with eight programmable user settings. The Qe-60 is an entry level 24” model offering the precision and durability of the larger cutters with slightly reduced speed and pressure settings. The Qe-60 is engineered for the entry level desktop sign market and can be used as a reliable backup to a Pro Series cutter. The Qe-60 can be purchased with a stand or as a desktop model and provides cutting speeds up to 24 ips and up to 300 grams of force.
Prices for the Q Series start at only $2,695.00 for a bundled package including software and supplies. Qe-60 prices start at $1,695.00 with complete system bundles, including pc, software, scanner, and supplies, starting at just over 2,000.00USD.
