So how do you install the software to let Windows understand that you have a printer? It's not magic, plug and play... Installed the setup driver, but it still just sits there thinking there's not a cutter there.

-- Only the Graphtec & Q-Series of cutters will show up as a Printer. The Panther, Lynx and Bobcat will not install as printers.
-- And will only show up under the software.

I would just like to add that if you are having troubles with connecting your cutter and your software, it may not be a driver issue at all. When you install your drivers and also when you add settings to your Production Manager, (ex. KingCut A-360), make sure you have the correct baud speed settings. Mine defaulted to 9600 bit speed but the correct speed setting for the cutter was 19200. I wasted 3 days trying to figure out what was wrong and why everything appeared to be connected right, and even the tech support couldn't help figure it out. But it was that simple. Always check your other settings as well. Thank you and good luck with all of your issues.

Unit: CT-900 -- I wish to hook it up to a laptop that doesn't have a serial (com) port. What do I do?

--You would need a USB - Serial adapter.
--We recommend the Keyspan USA-19HS (http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/USA19HS/)

Is there a driver available that would run a QE 60 from Win 98se? I tried loading Win XP (home), it destroyed my pc! (Wouldn't let me uninstall xp - even manually from dos) Had to reformat hd & reload TONS of software.

It is for WinME, but will work just as well with Win98SE
